The Interior Ministry has called in the army for the security of the red zone in Islamabad.
According to the details, all the security in the red zone of the federal capital will be handed over to the army under which troops will be deployed at the Prime Minister’s House, Prime Minister’s Office, Presidency, and Supreme Court while troops will also be deployed at other government buildings including Cabinet Division. ۔
The Interior Ministry has also sought the services of the FC for the security of Islamabad, under which 2,000 FC personnel will be on duty in Islamabad.
Earlier, the government had also enforced section 144 in the federal capital Islamabad for two months. The scope of section 144 has also been extended to one kilometer.
Addressing a press conference in Islamabad, the federal interior minister clarified that the government would not allow any riot in the name of the long march and the government has decided to stop the long march of PTI from Punjab to Islamabad. All-access roads have been sealed off.
On the other hand, raids have been carried out on the houses of PTI leaders across the country including Karachi and Lahore under which National Assembly member Saif-ur-Rehman and dozens of PTI workers have been arrested.
