
Federal Minister for Information Maryam Aurangzeb has said that the price of ghee at utility stores has been reduced to Rs 300 per kg.
Talking to media in Islamabad, Maryam Aurangzeb said that more than 600,000 bags of flour have been sold from 600 cell points. Citizens can lodge a complaint against any utility store.
He said that the Prime Minister himself was monitoring everything and on June 9, more than 500 stationery flour units were immediately set up.
The federal minister said that they are giving subsidy of Rs 27 billion on cheap diesel and petrol, Rs 17 billion subsidy for flour, sugar and ghee and price control committees have been activated.
Maryam Aurangzeb said that the price of ghee at utility stores has been increased to Rs. 300 per kg, giving a subsidy of Rs. 250 per kg.
The Federal Minister said that the number of utility stores in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa is low, the price of ghee has gone up to Rs. 600 per kg in last four years, the people of KP have been getting cheap flour since June 1.
He further said that flour was smuggled in the last period, 100 utility mobile vans were started for flour in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, 10 kg bag of flour was sold at Rs. 400 at utility stores while flour at utility stores in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa was also sold at Rs.
